Dubai: Arriving visit visa holders are advised to carry Dh3,000 in cash or credit, return tickets, and proof of accommodation.
Travellers with Dubai visit visas are advised to carry Dh3,000 in cash, a valid return ticket, and proof of accommodation before flying to the emirate, reported several news agencies. Experts noted that authorities are strictly enforcing entry guidelines. Some passengers who didn’t meet these requirements were stopped at Indian airports and barred from boarding, while others reported being stranded at Dubai airports.
“Travelers to Dubai must hold a valid visa and a passport with at least six months’ validity. They should also carry a confirmed return ticket. These checks are being conducted in advance,” Khaleej Times reported citing Mr. Firoz Maliyakkal, founder and CEO of a leading travel agency.

Travellers must also provide a valid address for accommodation in the UAE, whether it’s a relative’s or friend’s home or a hotel booking.”
Travel agents mentioned that this rule has been in place for a long time, but authorities have now intensified monitoring for travellers’ benefit.
“Airport checks are being implemented to safeguard travellers arriving in Dubai, addressing many cases of overstaying,” said Libin Varghese from Rooh Travel and Tourism. “This step by the authorities will have a positive impact on the emirate’s tourism sector. Stringent checks ensure transparency and prevent discrepancies for people travelling to the UAE,” he added.
